Last weekend we went with Papa to visit the coastal redwoods in northern California. Here are some pictures from our adventures through Humboldt Redwood State Park (Avenue of the Giants) and Ferndale, a quaint Victorian town off of Hwy 101.

Ferndale

Humboldt Redwoods State Park

The young jedi padawon learner looking for Ewoks on the Endor moon...she just needs a pink light saber.

One redwood in this forest is 346 ft, or 105.5 meters tall!

Cooling off in the Eel River

B is for Baby and Bob... reggae on the river.

High water mark of a 1964 flood in Weott. The water was 33 ft above the ground!

A couple of weekends ago we also went to visit Great Grandma Lucille in southern California

...and we "camped" with the whole Whitebook clan in Leo Carillo State Park near Malibu.
Camping entailed roughing it in several RVs near the ocean. Boo hoo... such hardship.
