Gorgeous Northern California Coastal Redwoods.
We had a great weekend at Elk Prairie State Park along the northern California coast.  This park has some of the little protected old-growth coastal redwood forests.  There are only 5% of the original redwood forests that are old-growth (e.g., trees up to 3500 yrs old!) left.

The tallest trees in the world -- coastal redwoods!

These were some male elk near the highway
Sometimes mommy feels like she has a wild elk inside her... Alana is moving a lot!
