Wow, it has been crazy here in Tucuman. So many parties!

First we celebrated Papa Hugo´s 70th birthday. I had a lot of fun hanging out with all of his friends at the party.

The cake was awesome!




The next day was my birthday! I turned 2 years old.

I first went to play in the park with papi, mami and tio Hugito.

The next day I had a hangover. Too much partying.

Every trip in Argentina needs a good supply of yerba mate and lots of meat. Here I am shopping for yerba mate in the supermarket. What a great selection!

We got to escape from the heat and humidity of Tucuman and headed for the mountains with Chilo, Judith, and Paula. We first went south through citrus and sugar cane in the lowlands. We then climbed up out of the lowlands and into the mountains through the subtropical Yungas forest.

Papi and I had a great time swimming in the river in the Yungas. I think that Papi wanted to be naked, too.

We then made it up to Tafi de Valle, which has a cool climate and is above treeline. There are no conifer trees in South America, and so the treeline is much lower.


We stayed in Judith´s parents house. It was rustic and had a great view of the whole valley.

Paula really liked my baby Lulu.

I preferred to take care of my mono.

We saw a lot of horses on the trip. Here we are pretending to ride a horse.

We played in the rivers way up near the top of the mountains. The rocks were all granite and reminded papi of rocks in the Sierra Nevada of California.

Like the adults, we drank a lot of yerba mate and coffee.

It was so much fun. I could not stop myself from dancing with joy!

Bueno, aqui van mas fotos para los que piden mas. Maya esta disfrutando mucho de su visita, especialmente desde que llego su papa a quien extrañaba mucho. Maya ya aumento unos cuantos kilos debido a su insaciable apetito por la carne argentina y por el danonino.

Here there are some pictures for our fans club. Maya was missing dady a lot, so she is specially happy since he came. Maya already gained several pounds due to the Argentinian meat and to danonino (yogurt)

Hola gente! Maya por fin llego a Argentina! Recien nos damos tiempo para poner unas fotos en el blog. El viaje fue largo y nos tomo unos dias acostumbrarnos al calor y al cambio de horario. Estamos muy felices, disfrutando mucho de los abus y tios. Ya pronto se sumara papa (Mateo) y estaremos completos. Un abrazo y disfruten las fotos.

Llego Papa Noel (Santa= abus + tios) y me trajo un triciclo y un juego de mate entre otras cosas.


Que rico, como extrañaba unos matecitos!
