A picture of our farewell in the airport in Buenos Aires -- Mami, Papi, Abu, Gerardo and Andres.

Tia Carla!

Here is a photo of me with Mami, Abu, Carla and Alina.

We got to visit Tio Baby and Tia Silvia in their new apartment in Buenos Aires.

We traveled from Tucuman to Mendoza and then from Mendoza to Buenos Aires in a huge double-decker bus. These buses are made for long-distance travel. They have seats that recline into beds and a stewardess that served us dinner and breakfast. Mami and Papi even got to drink wine while I watched Baby Einstein on my portable DVD player.

Here is papi in the Andes at Paso Libertadores, also called Cristo Redentor (12, 500 ft - 3835 m) near the highest mountain in South America, Aconcagua. The pass separates Chile and Argentina.

Hanging out at Plaza de Hispana in Mendoza, Argentina

I got to drink a lot of licuados in the many cafes in Mendoza.

We went to the Zoo in Mendoza. It was a sad place. The large cats were confined to very small cages and the people harassed the animals.

This is a great park in Mendoza, entrance at Ave del Libertador.

Running in the park

Awesome merry-go-round, aka la calecita

I really enjoyed all the music in Mendoza. Here I am listening to folk music from the region. The band was called Sin Fronteras.

Today Mami and Papi say that we are going to a new city in Argentina for a little vacation before we head back to Buenos Aires and then to California. I am going to miss my Abuelos, aunt Ceci, uncle Luis and Hugo and all the cats and dogs in the house. This has been a great trip. Mi castellano es increible.

We stayed a couple of days in my friend Paula´s house. Here I am getting a ride on a bike on a bike. I want a seat like this when I get back to California!

Paula had a shopping cart. Her I am pretending to go shopping at the new Walmart down the street (no kidding -- there is a Walmart here!)

Hanging out with gato Lotriz

Going for a ride with Tia Clara and Tio Roberto

Serving yerba mate, just like Abu Hugo.

We went to a wedding of a family friend, Carlos. Mami and Papi then left me with my abuelos, and they went out to party with Tia Ceci, Tio Hugito and Tio Luis.

Happy New Year! The best part of celebrating the new year in Tucuman is all the food and chocolate that Abu puts out to eat. Papi agrees.

We had a wonderful asado with Marcelo, El Rey del Zapayo, and his lovely family.

I´ve had to earn my keep here at Abu´s house. Here I am mowing the lawn...

... and painting the walls...

...and telling Abu how to organize her plants.
