Alana Lauren Clark

Alana was born on Oct 20 at 4:18 pm!  Here are some pictures from our first few days together.

Alana was 7 lbs, 46 oz, although by the next day she had lost 7% of her weight (6 lbs 13.5 oz) from pooping.
Our doula Emily was a great help!
Here is Alana wrapped up as a little burrito
Ana's hard labor with pushing was less than 2 hrs.  Wow!  It was tough work, but an amazing experience.  Daddy is in awe of Ana's endurance and determination.
There are really 2 baby Alanas -- one warm and cuddly, the other plastic.  We think the plastic Alana makes more noise.  We finally found the off switch.  Does the real Alana have a switch, too?

The doctor came in and couldn't find a pulse.  Woops, wrong baby!

Happy Grandma Adi with the little bean.

Our first night home from the hospital.
Maya is a wonderful big sister.  Actually, we have "two mommies" in the house now -- Ana and Maya

Well... maybe we have 4 mommies -- Ana, Maya, Abu Maria and Grandma Adi.
Maya takes her mothering responsibilities very seriously.
She also is good at breast feeding.
What a lucky little baby to have so many people to hold her!
